Primary Assessment Tracker
This simple spreadsheet enables you to track attainment against reading, writing and mathematics at domain brick level. It has been revised to include tracking of combined RWM and applies new rules to the calculation of children on track in Year 2 and Year 6 and at the end of each year.
Please Note: The simple tracker spreadsheet has been amended to allow for the date of entry to be set from between 1 September 2023 and 31 August 2024. Using last year's spreadsheets will no longer work.
Please note when using the updated HAM primary assessment trackers, you must complete the date of entry to current year field (the tracker will not work if this is left blank). Enter the date of entry as 1st September and then add any new children later with the date they started.
The tracker works on four data drops. Our advice is to continue to use all four, however it is possible to leave one or more blank should you not choose to use them all.

The Primary Mathematics Assessment Video Clips are part of a 2015-16 pupil assessment video project that was started in Fareham and Gosport with the aim of supporting teacher assessment of pupil’s conceptual and procedural understanding of mathematics at different points in the year related to the HAM phase model.
What’s in them?
- Milestone 1 (November) videos: These video clips of Y1 to Y6 pupils are focused on calculation
- Milestone 2 (February) videos: These video clips are focused on fractions
- Milestone 3 (July) videos: Year 5/6 - other years to follow
How to access the video clips:
Click here to access the Mathematics playlist containing the entire video catalogue. Alternatively, click on this Maths assessment video clips, summary charts & further information link or the book icon below which will take you to linked pages where you can use the Milestone 1 and Milestone 2 summary charts to identify and download a clip that you would like to use.
The complete Milestone 1 (November), Milestone 2 (February) and Milestone 3 (Year 5 & 6) charts can be downloaded below.

This area supports networking and sharing of ideas generated by each of the HAM project groups, established in Autumn 2015. Each project group has a consistent folder structure that can be accessed by clicking on the name. Resources that you produce should be sent to the Link PPI who will ensure the files are named and uploaded in a consistent format and will periodically blog to everyone about what's new in their group. If you are searching for resources on a particular theme, please take a look in the folders of other groups. All resources are downloadable and contain reference to the school contact should you wish to follow up. Link PPIs will also post materials of general interest to all groups from time to time.

These resources are the result of the Key Stage 3 Curriculum and Assessment Project group. Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the key principles, which are fundamental to the effective use of the model.
We would welcome the opportunity to work with you in school to ensure you gain as much as you can from the resources and to support further development.
Please contact Victoria.Flynn@hants.gov.uk if you would like to commission this work.
