A reminder to book your place for our Primary Assessment Network programme before 29 June

The new Primary Assessment Network (PAN) sessions for Hampshire schools offer the opportunity for senior leaders and assessment leads to work collaboratively through a series of network meetings. These meetings are a chance for assessment leads to hear the latest statutory messages from the DfE and STA in relation to all primary phases. The sessions also draw on a wide range of evidence-based research to explore approaches to assessment informed pedagogy.

The assessment networks will consist of five linked sessions, with a mixture of virtual and face to face opportunities at strategic points in the year. The EYFS team will present key updates at the virtual sessions.

Book now for Effective Assessment Across the Wider Curriculum 26-27 (Blended)

(Part 1) 1 October, 21 October, 5 November, 2 December 2026
(Part 2) 20 April, 5 May and 8 June 2027 

This training aims to give leaders the opportunity to discuss principles of effective assessment and how these can be used practically to support assessment and its impact for foundation subjects. 

The face-to-face sessions will each be followed up with a twilight session for all staff who lead a subject so the principles can be put into practice. A final session will enable schools to share the impact of the developments. 

The course fee is for three attendees from each school.

Book your place for Year 6 Data Project Year 2 – Embedding the Principles Across the School

This course will cover:  

  • recapping the learning from the previous course and considering how the provision is going to be adapted for the current Year 6 – what did we learn last time and what did you change? What has been the impact of this? 
  • analysing where you are as a school. What are your strengths? Opportunities? Weaknesses? Threats? 
  • ensuring you have effective practice of the key areas of English and mathematics    
  • looking at case studies from other schools which share their effective approaches to raising standards across the whole school.
