    A small number of suitably experienced additional moderators need to be appointed to the moderation team, specifically in the New Forest area. This can mean you either live or work in the New Forest area or are prepared to travel to the New Forest area.

    This will enable us to fulfil the LA's statutory responsibility to ensure schools' judgements are in line with nationally agreed standards at the end of Key Stage 2. Applicants must meet the requirements outlined below and secure the support of their headteacher/LLP to undertake this role. They should also be willing to travel for the purposes of school visits and be free to attend the training and development required for the role.

    Details: 

    You are invited to apply if you:

    • live or work in the New Forest area or are prepared to travel to the New Forest area.
    • demonstrate a developed understanding of end of Key Stage 2 teacher assessment framework and a secure understanding of the statutory end of Key Stage 2 assessment process
    • are very good practitioner in the teaching of English
    • have excellent communication and inter-personal skills
    • have experience of systematic and regular moderation within and/or beyond the school
    • have experience of leading and/or managing other staff. 

     

    The overall time commitment will be between 8 - 12 days. Supply cover will be paid for this time. 

    Additional commitments will involve attendance at moderation/standardisation sessions and visits to schools (alongside an experienced moderator) in the summer term.

    Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by Wednesday 18 September 2024 and interviews will take place on Friday 8 October 2024.
