To plan how the implications of the Year 6 course can be disseminated through the rest of the school.

Sustaining the impact of what has been achieved in Year 1 of the project for example, what if the Year 6 member of staff has changed – how do you minimise the impact of the change – who is your constant and how do you manage these changes?

Analyse where you are as a school. What are your strengths? Opportunities? Weaknesses? Threats?

Raising Attainment in Year 6
This course will include schools working together to identify, track and target the needs of children in Year 6 for one main aim: supporting Year 6 to improve outcomes at the end of Key Stage 2. The sessions will draw on input from assessment, maths and English teams and provides the opportunity for Year 6 teachers and headteachers to attend sessions jointly to maximise progress across Year 6. As a result, teachers will be confident when planning for success in Year 6, whilst senior leaders will benefit from designated time to work alongside Year 6 colleagues to discuss current outcomes and next steps.

Effective Assessment Across the Wider Curriculum 26-27 (Blended)
This training aims to give leaders the opportunity to discuss principles of effective assessment and how these can be used practically to support assessment and its impact for foundation subjects.
The face-to-face sessions will each be followed up with a twilight session for all staff who lead a subject so the principles can be put into practice. A final session will enable schools to share the impact of the developments.
The course fee is for three attendees from each school.
